2021 Call For Posters

Our 2021 virtual conference will feature a poster session for undergraduate and graduate students who are conducting research on topics related to energy.

We invite students to submit a virtual poster as an alternative to participating in our biennial event. The process for poster submission is open until June 2, 2021. Individuals will be notified of acceptance on a rolling basis, but no later than June 7, 2021, via email. Please check conference website for periodic updates.

First place, second place and third place awards will be announced for both undergraduate and graduate submissions.

Poster contributions are solicited to review recent developments, driven by both fundamental research and technology, in areas such as:

  • Advanced Buildings
  • Advanced Vehicle Technologies
  • Advances in Additive Manufacturing
  • Advances in Solar Energy
  • Advances in Urban Mobility
  • Alternative Transportation Fuels
  • Battery & Energy Storage
  • Bioenergy
  • Community Solar
  • Emerging Smart Grid Technologies
  • Energy Cybersecurity
  • Energy Efficiency
  • Future of the Electric Utility Industry: Challenges and Opportunities
  • Microgrids & Distributed Generation

Eligibility

Open to both undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines and majors who are currently enrolled within institutions of higher learning within the 48 contiguous United States.

Format

  • Do not have the poster printed. This is a completely online/virtual competition.
  • As a guide, students may use the template provided on this page to arrange their poster, or they may upload their own original poster in PDF form.
  • Posters can be created in any design application, but should be submitted in PDF form.
  • Before saving your poster as a PDF, please make sure that all images and text are high quality. Images should be no smaller than 1000px. Text font should be legible.

Content

Items that MUST be included on the poster are as follows:

  • Project Title
  • Authors and Co-Authors
  • Name of Institution

Posters should be visually stimulating and have images and graphs as appropriate. Please review prior to submitting.

Awards
An awards committee consisting of faculty judges will conduct a review of all student posters and select all winners.
